Day 2- $1 a day

On the train to work this morning I saw about a dozen people clutching Venti Half-Caf Soy Non-Fat BalugaBerry Frappuccino-like beverages that cost at least $4 dollars-- 4 days worth of food for my experiment.

Then on my walk home I spotted a lone apple lying in the space between street and gutter. I glanced around to see if anyone was watching, and I pounced on that free apple like a lioness on a lame zebra. Don't worry. I washed it very well. And it is waiting in my fridge for a day when I am craving fresh food.

  2. Please don't. She would take a whole bottle of dish washing detergent to my mouth! Ed, I'm so glad you are reading this. I miss you and as soon as the experiment is over would love to have cocktails.

  3. I'd love to have cocktails as well! But we don't have to wait to hang out. We could go on a walk together, then go to a cafe and ask for hot water but bring our own tea bag. If you are nice, the cafe people sometimes throw in a lemon slice!

  4. Ah, see you have caught me in my old patterns of thinking that I need money to have meaningful connections. And by "meaningful connections" I naturally mean "vodka". Let's see if the rain will go away, and then I will pitch some potential dates for a rendezvous.
